Colt’s SIP Trunking expands internationally
Expansion of Colt VoIP Access into Central and Eastern Europe gives international businesses a uniform communication experience and opens the door to collaboration
London, 29 October 2015 – Colt today announced the availability of its SIP Trunking solution – Colt VoIP Access – in Central and Eastern Europe, with further expansion into Northern Europe and Asia taking place by the end of 2015. With this expansion, Colt’s SIP service will be available in over 20 countries, enabling enterprises to simplify their telephony infrastructure, rationalise multi-site connections over a single IP network, and reduce supplier management costs.
With integrated delivery, tailored packages and the ability to share voice and data network access and infrastructure, Colt VoIP Access allows enterprises with operations in multiple countries to reduce their telecommunications costs by 25% to 50% and create a consistent user experience across the company.
Colt SIP trunking provides highly reliable business-grade service in all countries, offering disaster recovery, fraud management and voice security over multiple connectivity options. It Colt VoIP Access allows businesses to seamlessly transition from legacy telephony to VoIP with services that include porting in all countries as well as a comprehensive feature set.
It is now available in the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia, in addition to 13 countries in Western Europe. A further expansion of SIP trunking will include Finland, Norway and Japan.
Richard Oosterom, EVP Voice Services at Colt, commented: “We are seeing accelerated growth in SIP trunking services to now over 40% per year and increased interest from our customers for communication services including telephony in Europe and Asia. Many international enterprises are expanding into new markets and move business processes into Central and Eastern Europe, whilst making the transition from legacy systems to voice over IP via native SIP trunking, as PBX depreciation cycles further mature. They are exploring how to unlock the potential to improve the overall quality of service across the company while achieving cost efficiency through integrating their voice infrastructure around a centralised IP Telephony architecture.”
Oosterom continued: “With Colt VoIP Access businesses benefit from a consistent service experience across all countries where they operate. The ability to consolidate the service delivery physically and remove the need to manage multiple remote suppliers considerably reduces the costs of service and provisioning. The ICT and procurement processes can be streamlined across the company, and collaboration easily deployed as an application in a portfolio of integrated communication services– an efficient way for teams in disparate countries to work together.”
Colt VoIP Access is available for Enterprise customers directly, and for Service Providers with the appropriate reseller-enabled tooling, enabling them to easily provision and invoice their customers.
According to a recent study commissioned by Colt, the large majority of IT leaders are more concerned with the customer experience delivered by their key service providers than a year ago, with 78% respondents describing their current suppliers as a source for technical innovation. Colt’s voice portfolio fulfills CIOs’ expectations to achieve significant business impact by combining cost savings with enhanced user experience.
Colt is the lead sponsor at Capacity Europe, the leading conference for business innovations and leaders in the telecommunication industry on the 2nd – 4th of November 2015 in Paris.
