Senior Manager Programme Management
Meet Funmi Bamgboye, who originally qualified as a veterinary surgeon and brings a number of valuable transferable skills to her role as a Senior Manager in technology, where she has spent most of her career. These include particularly strong communication and out-of-the-box thinking.
Funmi has had the greatest success and job satisfaction in leading highly complex projects and programmes where there has been no precedence. She thrives when she has to be pioneering in her creative problem solving. She bemusedly recalls occasions when certain engineers have unsuccessfully tried to deflect her astute eye for detail.
In the time that Funmi has worked at Colt, she has noticed higher numbers of women in leadership than in the industry in general. However, she has not been fazed by the many times she has been the only woman in the room. She feels she has earned her place at the table.
A highlight of her career so far has been her role as the Divestiture Programme Lead overseeing the complex separation of people, processes, contracts, and systems during a recent acquisition.
Funmi has a growth mindset and a continual love of learning as demonstrated by the recent completion of her MBA. She is grateful for colleagues who have supported her throughout.
