Ivana Bitunjac
International Interconnect Manager
Meet Ivana Bitunjac who has worked at Colt for over 11 years. She describes it as a company small enough for a friendly work culture, yet big enough to have an impact in the world of tech. Head-hunted for her European language skills of German, Croatian, and English, it was Colt’s cosmopolitan vibe that attracted her to the company.
Ivana’s knowledge of regulatory and pricing issues enables Colt to trade effectively within the voice services industry. She brings to Colt her experience of working as a parliamentary researcher, including negotiation skills and understanding the relationship between government and businesses.
Growing up in Germany, Ivana wanted to be an engineer. She credits Colt’s excellent learning and development programmes with supporting her return to her first love of science and technology.
Ivana was impressed when Colt appointed a female CEO in 2020. Empowered by Colt’s staff networks, she is Chapter Co-Lead for Pride Matters and is a member of Women@ Colt. She sees exponentially more opportunities for women in telecommunications now compared to when she started working.
Through Colt Ivana has also pursued an active lifestyle through several company bike rides and charitable marathons. She wants to let everyone know there is far greater complexity to making a simple telephone call than meets the eye!
